Here is just a small sampling of the projects we've managed over the years.


$30 million campaign for national advocacy coalition.
Served as the lead fundraiser for Alliance for Citizenship, a national coalition of organizations working to advance comprehensive immigration reform; worked with key stakeholders on fundraising strategy, developed messaging and proposals, and organized funder briefings.

$15 million campaign for national advocacy organization.
Helped lead the team that developed and implemented a $15 million campaign for the National Council of La Raza, the nation’s largest Latino advocacy organization, to benefit their 300+ member community-based organizations; developed a strong case for support, planned the $15 million campaign, managed implementation of the first year of the campaign including weekly staff meetings with the CEO & VPs, and assisted with the search for a new VP for Resource Development.

Training for community foundation grantees.
Provided proposal writing workshops, one-on-one training and coaching, and fundraising planning assistance to over 40 grantees of the Community Foundation for the National Capital Region/MARPAT Foundation Wards 7 & 8 Initiative to build the capacity of organizations serving low-income children & families in the District of Columbi a.

$30 million campaign for university libraries.
Served as counsel to the core team assisting Howard University Libraries in a $30 million capital campaign to re-imagine the University’s iconic libraries and repurpose them for the changing role that libraries play in the digital age.

$30 million proposal for Department of Education i3 funding for national education organization.
Wrote and project-managed a $30 million proposal to U.S. DOE for Investing in Innovation in Education funding; served as the principal writer and project manager for a team including evaluation experts and five senior staff; the proposal scored 20th place nationally out of 500+ applications.

$250 million proposal to Department of Education for Race To The Top funding.
Served as part of the core team that developed and wrote a state application for RTTT funding; the application scored eighth in the nation and was funded by DOE in Round 2 of competition.

Ongoing fundraising counsel.
Provide ongoing consulting to local and national organizations, primarily in the education, youth development, community organizing, economic justice, advocacy, and public policy fields.
